Monitoring and Evaluation (M&E)
A meeting was held with H.E. Dr. Ahmed Darwish, Minister of State for Administrative Development (MAD) at the end of November 2007, to explore possibilities of co-operation between PEMA and MAD to build the institutional capacity of Monitoring and Evaluation (M&E) units at various ministries and enhance the skills of M&E officers. The minister welcomed this initiative and expressed his ministry’s support for joint work. Meanwhile, consultations with a number of development partners took place to agree on how they could contribute with their international M&E experiences to this initiative.
A detailed project proposal is being finalised for discussion and approval. Implementation is due to start in May/June 2008.
